Oh, Outkast -- is there any reason why Pitchfork should be riding your junk like this?

It's better than Lil Wayne, which is the other rap thing they like. Or Jay Z (I'ma avoid talking about the new Jay Z thing, other than saying it motherfucking blows, from just about any viewpoint. And I don't completely hate Jay Z).

Outkast are pretty fucking legit. I'd not really listened to them much for a few years 'til recently, but there's quite a bit of quality in there (I realize it's not really your thing). They had the singles and all that, but the albums definitely weren't filler shit like some other hip hop acts from that era.

And I think everyone on earth liked this song at the time.

Those lists are reliably calculatedly hilariously overly over the top, and generally written breathlessly, junkridingly and full of adverbs. I always enjoy myself.

I like the Pitchfork lists, it's about the only thing I read on there anymore. I can't comment on their strange rap tastes much, since my rap sensibility is terribly underdeveloped, but hipsters generally shouldn't be trusted to assess such things.

This video is just like the greatest thing I've ever seen.
