He's too big of a name (and too old, probably) to play anything but jazz festivals and theaters, but man how cool would it be to see him playing in a club?
It would be brilliant, definitely. But like you said, he travels all over to play at the major festivals (he was just at Toronto) and fill large theaters. Hell, so does Dave Brubeck, and he's 88, so maybe Rollins will be doing this for a while yet.
The "biggest" name I know of that still does clubs and such is Eddie Gale, who basically just had the one album.
